About Our Remanufactured 4R75E Transmission

If you are looking for a reliable 4R75E transmission to swap in your car or truck, then look no further than Reman-Transmission. It would be our honor to assist you whether you are driving an American or import car. We are proud to be the best place to buy a used 4R75E transmission or remanufactured 4R75E transmission for your vehicle in the United States. Even though you may be looking for a “cheap junkyard 4R75E transmission near me” you will find much better options at Reman-Transmission.

When you are looking for a rebuilt 4R75E transmission or other replacement, you want to find a transmission that will last as long as possible. That is why you would want to purchase one of our remanufactured 4R75E transmissions. When we remanufacture a transmission, we correct all factory defects before we swap out your transmission product. We individually test all of the components of the transmission, making sure they meet the specification that was set by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). We ensure that all parts of the transmission wear evenly by replacing each component with a remanufactured or new part. If you buy a rebuilt 4R75E transmission, you get a transmission that has only had the broken parts fixed and not the rest which will lead to uneven wear and ultimately a shorter lifespan overall for your transmission.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a more economical alternative to a remanufactured 4R75E, we have the highest quality used 4R75E transmissions on the market. We guarantee our used 4R75E transmissions are in good working condition and will get you back on the road for less. As the top supplier of professional, quality remanufactured and used 4R75E transmissions in the area, we are so confident in our work that we also provide warranties for all of our products up to a 5-year, unlimited mile warranty. Furthermore, we also offer free shipping to all commercial addresses in the United States because we place the needs of our customers ahead of our own.

If you are interested in the price of our remanufactured or used 4R75E transmissions, we encourage you to call us today. A member of our team will walk you through this process from start to finish. If you are looking for the best place to buy an automatic or manual transmission for your vehicle in this zone, look no further than Reman-Transmission. Our 4R75E transmission Upgrades

Six-plate direct clutch and four-plate intermediate clutch packs, standard on all models, increase durability and performance.

New EPC solenoid installed for precise pressure control.

New boost valve kit, pressure regulator valve, bypass converter clutch sleeve, and plunger eliminate delayed engagement, shudder, and soft shifting.

Upgraded spiral lock snap ring and staked retainer for intermediate clutch address an OE design flaw and eliminate premature failure.

Updated 1-2 and 2-3 accumulator pistons prevent harsh shifting and premature clutch failure.

New overdrive servo pin sleeve is installed during our servo modification process with custom-designed tooling and bushings.

Completely remanufactured pump with new line bore bushings eliminates leaks and provides superior flow and durability.

Fully remanufactured torque converter is tested for leaks, lockup, concentricity, and balance. Upgrades exceed OE requirements and eliminate the possibility of front seal leaks, premature bushing wear, and vibration.

2001 and newer models feature a new 3-4 capacity valve sleeve and an extra-thick zinc-coated Super Tough Plate to eliminate plate cracking and cross leaks caused by repeated stress from the 2-3 accumulator piston spring retainer.

Police, towing, and performance packages include: eightplate direct clutch pack, additional valve body modifications, elevated pressure regulator valve, and other upgrades to increase durability and load capacity.

New custom-spec bushings improve internal fluid flow control and pressure.

Every transmission is cold-and hot-tested using a proprietary dynamometer testing program that includes fully synthetic automatic transmission fluid and a filtration system.

4R75E Frequently Asked Questions

4R75E History & Information

The 4R75E transmission is one of the most popular transmissions from the Ford AOD (automatic overdrive) line of transmissions. The Ford AOD is a four-speed automatic transmission. With this transmission, the fourth gear is the overdrive. The Ford AOD line itself is based on the Ford automatic transmissions that were employed by the motor company during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The 4R75E transmission itself is one of the most advanced, reliable, and durable transmissions from the Ford AOD line.

Prior to the introduction of the 4R75E transmission, the original Ford AOD underwent an upgrade to become the AOD-E. The AOD-E was originally designed for modular V8 engines but was eventually extended to multiple other classes of vehicles as well. The AOD-E is different from the AOD because the shift points of the AOD-E are controlled electronically. In 1993, the AOD-E also received an upgrade to the 4R70W. The transmission enjoyed upgraded performances when it came to turning, accelerating, and gas mileage.

In 2003, the 4R70W was upgraded to the 4R75W, providing it with more power handling capability while also improving its efficiency. Eventually, the 4R75W underwent a name change to the 4R75E transmission. With a more powerful microprocessor, 4R75E transmission received an instant upgrade. This information provides the transmission with more accurate electrical information, allowing it to fine-tune its responses to individual commands provided by the driver. When this is combined with an advanced throttle strategy, the transmission is able to maintain the vehicle's speed while also choosing the correct time to shift gears. As a result, the 4R75E transmission earned a reputation for durability, reliability, and power.

The 4R75E transmission remained in use through 2008 model year vehicles like the Ford F-150, E-Series Van, Expedition, Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, and Lincoln Town Car. Eventually, the 4R75E transmission was succeeded by the 6R80 line of transmissions, which remain in use today. The 4R75E transmission can still be found in use in vehicles to this day because of its reliability and durability in vehicles during the 2000s. If you are looking for a replacement 4R75E transmission, you should deeply consider our quality 4R75E remanufactured transmission replacement option.
