About Our Remanufactured A750E Transmission

Transmission

If your vehicle has a Toyota A750E transmission that needs to be replaced, you can get a high-quality used or remanufactured A750E transmission from Reman-Transmission at a price that’s the most affordable in the industry. With an automatic transmission such as the A750E, it pays to insist on used transmissions that are thoroughly inspected and remanufactured transmissions that are made entirely of new or re-machined parts. That’s what you get with Reman-Transmission.

The A750E is a 5-speed automatic transmission that was used in Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the mid and late 2000s. It didn’t have as long a run as some other Toyota transmissions. That may be because the transmission had a higher-than-average failure rate and some issues that Toyota never entirely resolved. The transmissions were known to have difficulty shifting, particularly into fourth gear. There were also reports of overheating and of transfer case lock hesitation.

For that reason, if you replace your Toyota A750E with a remanufactured transmission, you’ll want to be assured that the parts meet the highest standards based on the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) specifications. At Reman-Transmission, we don’t settle for replacing just the most obviously worn parts. We replace EVERY individual part either with one that’s new or one that’s been re-machined to meet or exceed the OEM spec. Additionally, we correct any of the known defects that might have caused problems with the A750E in the first place. The end result is a remanufactured transmission that is quite often better than a brand-new one straight from the factory.

We also sell used A750 automatic transmissions. We thoroughly inspect them to ensure that they’re in good working order. We’re confident in the used A750Es that we do choose to sell, confident enough to offer a warranty for 6 months or 6,000 miles. With our remanufactured A750Es, you get a 36-month warranty with unlimited mileage. In addition to offering these transmissions at the industry’s best prices, we charge only $270 for shipping.

If your current A750E automatic transmission is failing, you’re not stuck between a choice of trying to repair your current transmission or buying an expensive new one. A used or remanufactured unit from Reman-Transmission is a more practical and cost-effective choice to extend the life of your vehicle. In fact, you may find that it performs better than your original transmission did even when it was newer.

A750E Frequently Asked Questions

The A750E is a 5-speed automatic transmission that’s part of the Toyota A Series manufactured by Aisin-Warner. It was delivered in more powerful RWD Toyota and Lexus vehicles starting in 2003 and continued to be widely used through the end of that decade. It wasn’t used as many years as other A Series transmissions, possibly due to an above-average failure rate.

The A750E was designed for RWD vehicles and A750F for 4WD. The A750E has a housing extension and output shaft that accommodates 4-wheel drive. Otherwise, the two transmissions are identical. They were both used in many of the same Toyota vehicles, and the A750F was used in some Mitsubishi and Isuzu vehicles as well.

The transmission was delivered in Toyota vehicles starting with the 4-Runner in 2003. It also came in other Toyota models, including the Tacoma, the Tundra, the FJ Cruiser, the Land Rover, the Sequoia, and the Hilux. It was also used in the Lexus LX400 and GX470. It was phased out of most of these vehicles after 2009.

The A750E requires Toyota Genuine ATF WS. 5.3 liters (5.6 US quarts) is the capacity for a complete transmission rebuild. Some repairs require lesser amounts of transmission fluid, for example, 1.3 L (1.37 qts) for a transmission pan and drain plug removal and 3.9 L (4.12 qts) for a valve body removal.

A750E History & Information

The A750E is an RWD 5-speed automatic transmission first introduced in 2003 Toyota models, including the 4-Runner and the Land Cruiser. It was also used in other Toyota models, including the Tacoma, Sequoia, Tundra, and FJ Cruiser as well as the Lexus LX470 and GX470. It was developed for some of the larger and more powerful vehicles in the Toyota line and was often used in conjunction with V6 engines.

The transmission was built by Aisin-Warner, a large transmission manufacturer in which Toyota holds a financial stake. The Aisin name for the model is the TB050LS. The A750E replaced the A650E but was a departure in design from the A650E and the entire A340 family including the A340E and A340F. Its sibling transmission is the A750F, the 4WD version of the unit.

The A750E was widely used in Toyota vehicles from its inception until around the end of the decade. At that time it was dropped from a few models but continued with others on into the 2010s.

The A750E was a forward-looking design. Even as it launched, Toyota and Aisin-Warner were already looking at modifications that could be made down the road. Some of these subsequent models were the A750H, the A760E, A760F, and the A760H. Many of the characteristics of the A750E were also used in the development of the 6-speed A761E. The valve body of the A750E is quite similar to other Aisin-Toyota valve bodies and operation and design.

The A750E didn’t have as long a run as some of the other Toyota A Series transmissions. There were complaints of rough shifting and dropping out of gear, which may have led Toyota to invest in other models rather than to improve and enhance the A750E.

In any case, the A750E was sturdy and reliable enough to be a mainstay of Toyota transmissions for the best part of a decade. The 5-speed super-electronic controlled transmission has a superbly matched gear ratio. The unit is an excellent candidate for remanufacture, especially when the job is done with new parts and parts re-machined to OEM specifications.
